I wouldn't use this if i were you.

Ever wonder why some people are good at drawing and some aren't? its because good artists can draw from life, they see a form, and translate it to paper. Bad artists use symbols to try and convey what they want the audience to see using 'symbols'.

In the same way that a small child draws their house as a square, with a triangle for the roof, mountains as big zig zag lines with snow on top - this tutorial is simply teaching you some new 'symbols' to use in place of what things actually look like.
The part that really bothers me is how its encouraging you to draw separate facial features that don't really connect together in any way, this artist particularly has a problem with drawing floaty features in front of a vague silhouette of a face.

That being said, if you're new at figure drawing, don't use this tutorial, it only teaches surface details specific to manga and anime.

I'll let you in on a secret, if you can draw from life, and draw in 3 dimensional solid forms, you can draw in any 'style' you like, and you'll do it much better than this guy.
If you want to be a manga artist, go draw, draw all the time, draw from life, draw your friends, read GOOD references (books by andrew loomis are good for beginners) and did i mention draw all the time? practice makes perfect - learn the important stuff before you try adding the surface details to turn it into 'anime' - and your work will vastly improve.

Dude I completely agree even if that review bashes me a bit lol. But seriously, I've branded this flash with my name and almost made sure that the viewer knows this is NOT professional work and if you wanted to get more better teaching, then stray away from this tutorial (because I know the methods may be unorthodox).

Though I've heard that many times, that "Anime artists use simple shapes" and I think I can agree.

Nice work all round, all the different people working on this seem to really have come through for you. Can get tedious, but hey, its a flash game, thats what they do. good gameplay, good story, good graphics, 5 all the way.
